Broad range of exciting activities set in a beautiful location

We have been running the Château de la Baudonnière since 1991. Best known for its language immersion tours, the chateau is also an excellent venue for activity trips, with the following activities available on-site, including climbing, canoeing, assault course, archery, orienteering and fencing. Off-site activities include land yachting, windsurfing and catamaran sailing. Because the Chateau is open all year round, it makes an excellent venue for a budget adventure with your group.

A new activity for 2010 is a unique guided trip across the Mont St Michel Bay. Using the traditional method of the monks to reach the hallowed ground of the Mont St Michel, with specially trained guides, students will experience magical scenery, walking in places where the sea is normally, far away from the usual tourist route. Crossing bird reserves habited by pelicans, your trained guides will show you where it is safe to play in quick sand up to your knees, cross tidal rivers, as well as pointing out interesting flora and fauna.

All activities are led by qualified instructors in the activity they teach. Our team of 30 are also professional animateurs, trained in getting the most out of your children. They will also be responsible for delivering a full programme of evening activities including French Spectacular, Camp Outs, Quizzes and Bar-B-Q.

The choice of excursions in the area is almost unlimited, with the World War II Landing Beaches in North Normandy, Mont St Michel, the Bayeux Tapestry, Honfleur, Deauville, as well as a plethora of local markets.

The chateau nestles in 90 acres of its own grounds, with groups accommodated in comfortable modern rooms with excellent (mostly en-suite) bathroom facilities.

When additional accommodation is required, we partner with a number of local accommodation units, still taking advantage of the Chateau's activities.
