Our new Spanish watersports programme is located in Sant Pol, possibly one of the most beautiful corners of the Costa Brava. The beautiful cove at Sant Pol could have been tailor made for a school watersports programme and as a result, we are able to offer a full programme of watersports in all but the most inclement prevailing weather conditions.

The natural topography of the cove provides a wonderful, safe environment for novice sailors, with protection from the winds which can sometimes blight other operations on this coastline.  Added to this are plenty of caves, islands and channels for students to explore as part of their kayaking and paddleboarding sessions. Finally, the rich marine habitat of the cove also provides the ideal location for snorkellers to safely explore. The watersports programme is completed by the Pyrenees river descent.

Sailing - beginners are initiated into the world of sailing in the Optimist, a boat in which many generations of sailor have taken their first steps. Students will learn to sail, to enjoy and respect the sea and nature, whilst having fun. For more advanced sailors, we also have a number of Hobie Cats.

Kayaking -  as already mentioned, Sant Pol is ideal for Kayakers. Once students have mastered the basic skills, our instructors will lead them on a tour of the many caves, islands and channels which are safe for novices to explore, but which make any kayaking session all the more interesting and exciting.

Snorkelling - again, the Sant Pol cove is ideal for snorkellers. The stable marine environment offers a safe place in which students can learn the basic skills of snorkelling and its rich in marine habitats will keep students interested and excited.

Windsurfing - being a natural cove, Sant Pol offers the ideal environment for an introduction to the exciting world of windsurfing.

Activities are delivered by our fully qualified team of instructors, who also deliver a full programme of evening ents. All instructors hold the relevant NGB qualification for the activity they teach. Members of the Voyager Adventure team are selected for their maturity, their professionalism, their sense of fun and their ability to get the best out of your students. Accommodation is up the road in the nearby resort of Platja d'Aro, familiar to many UK school groups. Platja d'aro has plenty to keep students occupied, including one of the Costa Brava finest beaches. Groups stay at the 3* Hotel Caleta Palace. More information below.

This part of Spain offers something for everyone when it comes to Excursions, with cultural day trips to Barcelona, Montserrat and Figueres, or high adrenalin excursions to Waterworld and PortAventura.

Finally, because of its excellent links to the continental motorway system, Calais is only 19 hours away and for those who prefer to fly, Sant Pol is particularly well served by low cost airlines flying into Gerona, Barcelona and Perpignan.

The Team

Our team of Voyager instructors are there to make sure your group has a fabulous, memorable time. All activity sessions are led by staff fully qualified in the activity they are teaching. Where the sport has no obvious National Governing Body (NGB), staff undergo site specific training by a technical expert.
